Bob Page 12 & Capnography - Tazewell County
Clinch Valley Medical Center is hosting Bob Page for his 12 Lead Medic course (Monday), Advanced 12 Lead course and Slap the Cap: Capnography course (Tuesday) on August 10th & 11th at Southwest Community College, 724 Community College Rd. Cedar Bluff, Virginia. EMT Intermediate - Danville

The Danville Area Training Center (DATC) in partnership with Danville Community College will be starting an Intermediate course on Monday, August 24, 2015, with the course finishing in June 2016.  They will be providing a National Registry Practical Exam in the Danville area within two weeks of the conclusion of the course.  The course will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6:00pm to 9:50pm, and on the third and fifth (as applicable) Monday night of each month, also from 6:00pm to 9:50pm.  Students passing all modules of the course will receive an Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate Career Studies Certificate from Danville Community College  The cost of the entire course is $1,600.00.  Multiple payment options, including financial aid for students who qualify, are available to students.  The course fee does NOT include textbooks or National Registry testing fees.

Emergency Medical Technician - Franklin County
Franklin County Public Safety will be offering an Emergency Medical Technician Certification class beginning September 8, 2015 at the Franklin County Training Center located at 1516 Franklin  St.  Rocky Mount, VA. The class will meet from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm Tuesday & Thursday evenings, and is scheduled to conclude January 19, 2016.  In addition to classroom, students will have required self study, homework, complete courses online and spend at least 10 hours in a field internship aquiring 10 patient contacts.  Tentative date for Certification Practical Examination is January 30, 2016.  Written examination for Certification will be taken online.  There will be a mandatory pre-course meeting on Spetember 1, 2015 at 6:30 pm and a CPR course will be offered September 3 at 6:00 pm for those who do not have a current OEMS approved CPR card.  Course Fee is FREE for Franklin County Volunteers in Good Standing and $150.00 for all others.  Course Fee covers textbook and initial Practical Certification Examination.  For additional and registration information please see icon Fall-Winter 2015 Franklin County EMT Flyer
